This event is designed to take place while you’re backpacking or hostel-hopping with your youth.
DURATION

This event is designed to fit with the day-to-day needs of whatever location you choose. Min. 3 days.
A JOURNEY INTO PRAYERFULNESS
Youth need the liberty, power, companionship, and protection of Trinitarian prayer in their life before they leave home.
They need you to guide them toward it.
AT THE PILGRIMAGE, YOUTH…

Name their desires and fears for their life of prayer

Learn prayers from Scripture and church history that fit with the struggles of new adulthood

Read and discuss key Bible passages on prayer

Practice silent, listening prayer

Develop and practice morning, midday, and evening group prayers

Learn about Christian practices for spiritual growth, and make a plan to apply them

Create art, music, poetry, dance, or a speech in response to the retreat

Receive personalized blessings for their transition into adulthood

FAQs
What isn’t included in a Pod?
It’s up to you to find a great location with room and board (if you use the consecutive, residential schedule), three other Retreat staff members, and, of course, the students! If you’re using the consecutive, residential schedule, we think you can expect room and board for a group of this size to cost from $100-$400 per person. Our Plan It Download will help you pick a good location, train your staff, and pull off the event, no matter where you are.
What if I need supplies for more than 25 students and 4 leaders?
You are welcome to purchase more than one Pod for larger events. Unfortunately, we cannot modify the default quantities included in a single pod.
Can I use this for a shorter or longer retreat? Can I substitute my own films, games, and other activities? Can I change the schedule?
Yes. We’ve designed our planning documents to empower your creativity. You can use the event supplies “as is,” or alter them until they’re just the way you like. We explain the reason for everything in our schedule, so you can make great substitutions without throwing off the arc of the event.
Is this Retreat compatible with public health restrictions?
Yes. We designed it to be compatible with social distancing and mask wearing. We encourage all Passage Retreat users to follow public health recommendations.
What if I need additional help?
Our staff is here to support you with any Pod-related logistical challenges. If you’d like deeper training and advice, like one-on-one training with a PASSAGE public speaker, schedule alteration advice, or discussion leader training, you can purchase expert consulting for $50/half hour.
